Product Design Engineer

About the Role

We are hiring a Product Design Engineer to develop new door hardware products — mortise handles, pull handles, lock bodies, and main door locks — from initial concept through production-ready 3D CAD models. You will work directly with our manufacturing team, not in isolation. Every design you create will be validated against real die-casting tooling, CNC machining capabilities, and material constraints on our own factory floor.

What You'll Do

• Design new hardware products in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software
• Create detailed production drawings with tolerances, surface finish specs, and material callouts
• Collaborate with die-casting and CNC teams to validate manufacturability
• Develop and test prototypes — hands-on, on-floor, not just on-screen
• Research market trends, competitor products, and architectural hardware standards
• Maintain a structured design library with revision control

What We're Looking For

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design
• 2–5 years experience in product design for manufactured hardware or precision components
• Proficient in SolidWorks (preferred) or Creo / Fusion 360
• Understanding of die-casting, CNC machining, and surface finishing processes
• Ability to read and create GD&T drawings
• Strong problem-solving mindset — designs must work in production, not just in CAD
