Manufacturing Door Hardware in Rajkot Since 2011
Mortise handles, pull handles, lock bodies, and main door locks — every unit die-cast, CNC-machined, and finished at our own facility. Not imported. Not relabelled. Made here.
Started on a Factory Floor, Not in a Boardroom
Dorbell began in 2011 when our founder, after two decades working in Rajkot's brass and metalwork industry, noticed a gap: architects and contractors wanted hardware that performed like international brands but was available with local lead times and accountability. Instead of importing and relabelling, we set up our own die-casting and CNC facility.
The first year, we produced three product lines and supplied to 12 dealers in Gujarat. Today, we manufacture over 50 product variants and supply hardware to 500+ dealers across 28 states — but the operation still runs from the same GIDC industrial plot where it started, now expanded to 18,000 sq. ft.
Who Runs This Company
Buyers ask "who is actually accountable here." Here's the answer.
Before starting Dorbell, I spent 20 years working on Rajkot's brass casting floors — first as a machinist, then running production for two hardware companies. I understood the manufacturing side. What I didn't see was a single domestic brand that architects could spec with the same confidence they placed in imported handles.
That gap is why Dorbell exists. We control the full chain — raw material sourcing, die-casting, CNC machining, finishing, and quality testing — because the only way to guarantee consistency is to own every step. When a dealer calls about a quality issue, it comes to me directly. That's accountability, not a policy document.
Every Step, Under One Roof
Our 18,000 sq. ft. facility in GIDC Rajkot handles the full production chain. Nothing is outsourced to third-party workshops. This is what lets us control quality, lead time, and cost — and what separates a manufacturer from a trading company.
- 01 Raw material sourcing — certified brass billets and SS304 stainless from verified suppliers, tested on arrival
- 02 Die-casting — in-house gravity and pressure die-casting for lock bodies and handle bases
- 03 CNC machining — precision-cut to spec tolerance on our own CNC lathes and milling centres
- 04 Finishing — brushed, antique, satin, and PVD coating lines operated in-house
- 05 Assembly & packaging — final assembly, QC inspection, and branded packaging before dispatch
In-House Die-Casting
Gravity and pressure die-casting from certified raw brass and zinc alloy. No outsourced castings.
CNC Precision Machining
Multi-axis CNC lathes and milling centres for mortise lock body machining to sub-millimetre tolerance.
Surface Finishing
Brushed, antique, satin, and PVD coating — all applied in our own finishing lines, not subcontracted.
QC & Packaging
Every batch inspected before dispatch. Branded packaging with installation specs included in-box.
Certifications & Standards
Third-party verification so you don't have to take our word for it.
Quality management system certified. Audited annually by an accredited third-party body covering design, manufacturing, and dispatch processes.
Bureau of Indian Standards certification for applicable lock body categories — mandatory compliance for government and institutional projects.
Raw material grades (SS304, brass alloy) verified via mill test certificates on every incoming batch. Documentation available on request.
If 500+ Dealers Already Trust Us, Your Risk Is Lower
How We Test, Not Just What We Claim
Our QC team tests every batch before dispatch — not a random sample, every batch. Here are the specific tests each product line goes through:
- 01 Salt-spray corrosion testing — 500+ hours in a controlled salt-spray chamber to verify finish durability for coastal and high-humidity environments
- 02 Load and cycle testing — mortise locks tested to 200,000 open-close cycles to simulate years of daily use under load
- 03 Finish adhesion testing — cross-hatch adhesion tests on plated and coated surfaces to ensure the finish does not peel or flake
- 04 Dimensional verification — CNC-machined parts measured against spec tolerance using calibrated instruments on every batch run
